Kiersten Thamm is a doctoral candidate in the department of Art History at the University of Delaware and a museum professional. Her dissertation, “The Revolutionary Life of the Chaises Sandows, 1929-1939”, argues that the French steel industry played an active role in the development of French modernisms. Her publications include the chapter “Object as (Obscured) Archive: The Chaise Sandows” in Fugitive Archives (University of Delaware Press, 2021). She has held positions in curatorial and education departments at the Berlinische Galerie (Berlin, Germany), the National Building Museum (Washington, D.C.), and the Winterthur Museum and Library (Wilmington, DE).
