After studying with Frank Lloyd Wright, Kevin Andrew Lynch became an urban planner, architect, writer and architectural theorist. He has made major contributions in urban development on how people perceive and navigate the urban landscape. His books explore the presence of time and history in the urban environment. After a long and distinguished career on the faculty of MIT's School of Architecture and Urban Planning, he was named Professor Emeritus of Urban Planning.
