William Richard Lethaby (1837-1931), architect, designer, educator, theorist and historian. In 1896 he founded the Central School, one of the first design schools to teach in line with the ideals of the Arts & Crafts Movement. His theories and ideas are very influential and mark both the late years of the Arts and Crafts Movement and the beginning of the Modern Movement.
