Left: two traditional Portuguese bowls for cutting and catching vegetables, from the collection of the Museu National de Etnologia in Lisbon. They were featured in the book The Hard Life by Jasper Morrison, published in 2017 by Lars Müller Publishers, Zurich. Right: interpretation of the bowls, handmade in Porto from solid beechwood and measuring 26 cm in diameter. It is sold on Jasper Morrison's website, but was not designed by himself.
