Les enjeux pictographiques permettent de transmettre un patrimoine immatériel, à condition que ce dernier trouve une matérialité. Réside dans la culture des territoires une culture immatérielle composée de divers contes et légendes qui ne se partagent pas. Si l’on considère que la folklorisation des territoires à la fin du xixe siècle est l’origine des spécificités culinaires, culturelles, etc. des divers territoires français, un imaginaire dans cette part de folklore est alors manquant. Par ses collages aux choix purement formels, sans prise en compte d’une géographie précise, l’auteur construit une imagination immatérielle à partir d’éléments matériels. Les formes froides des pictogrammes originaux prennent ici des formes historicisées et créent des récits locaux, à la manière des affiches polonaises du graphiste Roman Cieslewicz, reconnues pour leurs collages structurels.

Les mythes et légendes, un patrimoine immatériel
Pictographic issues make it possible to pass on an intangible heritage, provided that it is given a material form. The culture of the territories includes an intangible culture made up of various tales and legends that are not shared. If we consider that the folklorisation of the territories at the end of the 19th century is the origin of the culinary, cultural and other specificities of the various French territories, then an imaginary part of this folklore is missing. Through his purely formal collages, without reference to a precise geography, the author builds an immaterial imagination from material elements. The cold forms of the original pictograms here take on historicised shapes and create local narratives, in the manner of the Polish posters by graphic artist Roman Cieslewicz, renowned for their structural collages.
